That does definitely look like boss warping. All the pointers are there, no time so it's not a TTF, max HP, low PB, no trap usage/next to no trap usage, no mates, anit's etc and no other items picked up.

I went on his account, he is now level 132. He does only have Trimates, x10 after his IF , which has only 45 A-beast, other than that, no other items, besides telepipes. Just his equips, and that's pretty much it. His traps seemed to have had no use in that picture, as now, at level 132, he as x20/x16/x14, in respective order of the traps. I did see qiute a few L&K's in his common bank though, he as 32 of them.

Enough for a ban or not?

I say yes, there's a lot that stands against him in those pic's and from what Crono found on his account.

I think there is room for reasonable doubt, so I'd unban him after a week but ban him from trading for life.

a week off is ok for me for trainer usage there's nothing to appeal unless he have something really good to say and then we can consider an unban after the week.... however..

3.3 - You are permanently banned if:
- Hack with Trainers or Cheat Engine.



3.2 - You are banned for a week, if infringing the offenses stated below:
- Caught with old hacks that corrupted your character: (Material overuse, Grantz or High tech Levels on Non-FOrce characters).

if he was using warping hacks then the rule 3.3 is applicable here..

anyway up to you.

from the trades section will be a permanent suspension... (already banned from there)

if he is caught in game doing a trade then the ban over the server will be permanent too.

I was (personally) not really on board with the whole Leona-overriding rule thing, and thought stuff should be decided on a case by case basis...since he manned up, I think a week ban + trade ban is enough. Just my two cents though...

the rule needs to be fixed to take a very solid decision over cases like this, we could work on that later..

for now your decision banning him 1 week of the server and permanently of the forum, sounds good but we have a little problem here...

this will be unfair for the people that were banned permanently of the server because the same thing, lets suppose that we uban to this guy after the week, he go back to the server and then we will have a lot of people bitching about this even more if they knows that he admited to be using warp hacks...

in the other part we have a rule to apply in that case

so probably we could leave this to a "vote" if you want to see what the other's GM's says.

I'm not the deciding factor; I'm only stating my opinion on this and other cases. I also think he should only be banned from trading, not the forum...those two should be separate in my opinion as well. Whether he stays banned is up to Crono and the rest of you guys.

Or basically, if you and Ramirez agree with me...since we're the only ones really around lately...

I basically disagree with the fact that "cheating of any sort is grounds for permanent ban, as they obviously will cheat again!" I think the bans should be permanent on cheaters unless they appeal it. If they appeal it, I believe it should be handled on a case by case basis. In all honesty, I think most should be given a second chance and be banned from the trade forum if they admit to it and apologize, promise not to do it again etc. The exception to that is if they are doing things like crashing, creating items, or other extremities. I'm pretty sure that's how I made the rules initially, actually...well, they were still a bit more lenient (you'd get three chances instead of just one more chance.)

but i think that the warping hax should be a permanent ban not matter if the guy appeal admiting it or not because (may be i am wrong) i feel that warping bosses to get specific rares is like creating items

is not like having Force class techs in a humar just for fun, i say he deserves the perma ban.

by other part we could give a try applying what you said; would be like making an experiment with this guy to see how it works (in the conduct and his promises) and if everything is ok, then the rule can have the change based on this.

who cares at the end if the ppl bitch, if we do not give a chance to our own ideas applying them (i.e like this Corey´s idea) then we will never make of this place better.

I'm for a one week ban and a lifetime ban from the trade forum for Raikomaru.

On the subject of rules, ban's, appeals etc I think currently the penalty for hacking regardless of the severity of it is a tad to harsh. On the other hand I think that the old three strikes was a bit too lenient.

Personally I feel that for average trainer use (GoE, Lv30 techs, wtw, boss warping etc) should be a one/two week ban and a lifetime ban from the trade forum for those who were profiting from hacking but in line with what Corey said, only if the ban is appealed. Then give them their account back under the condition that if they are found hacking again then a perm-ban is applied, end of story.

There's always the argument that they will go straight back to hacking but in all honesty I think if they were dumb enough to get caught the first time they will get caught a second time.

As for people who are caught duping, creating items and such I think they are far to dangerous to be given a second chance and those people should be perm-banned right off the bat.

Its already like this, Corey, I just prefer to keep the rules like that to leave them in check: "omg if I hack once i'm permanent banned!!!". But more than once, I received appeals, came here to this very board and asked if you guys have anything to hold their account banned forever. If nothing is said against the player, I can unban.

Leaving the message: "you have chances to return if you hack" will sound suggestive enough to be worth a try. Also, I'd like to avoid people saying "they have double standards and unban who they're friends with". I prefer that we deal with each case separatedly like you said, but "officially" we give no second chances.
